Spencer Country Inn

My wife and I went to a wedding here. We started outside with an outdoor wedding. Nice weather and a beautiful setting made the wedding awesome. We then went downstairs to the bar area to wait for the reception upstairs. Bartenders were top notch. Very friendly and professional. The bar area downstairs is a bit dark but they have some really cool antique items decorating the place. I was fascinated with what I think is an old horse drawn hearse! It’s so unusual. The bar area is quite large. Upstairs the ambiance continued with antique items displayed all around. Lots of interesting paintings on the walls. It’s a large hall so with the DJ playing it can be a bit hard to hear. Darn…do I sound old? Ha ha. The upstairs is very nice. I believe if they worked on some nicer lighting they could really set an incredible mood but still a unique venue. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the wedding. The staff was professional and everyone was hustling. The employees that I interacted with were all friendly. The food was fantastic. I had the prime rib. Cooked to perfection! I recommend the Spencer Country Inn.

I had my bridal shower here over the weekend. Amy did a great job helping make sure it was beautiful. I have received many compliments since. Waitstaff was great and the price was affordable.

I had the pleasure of having my baby shower here and it was absolutely beautiful and amazing! Amy was great to work with and very helpful. There was plenty of delicious food and very affordable compared to other venues. They also allowed us to create our own dessert table for our Safari theme and set up whatever decor we wanted. There was also no time limit for when guests had to leave by. Definitely recommend giving them a call if you are planning a baby shower.

We had our wedding at Spencer Country Inn and I truly cannot say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, Amy — the venue coordinator — was an absolute dream to work with. She was organized, reassuring, and genuinely cared about making everything perfect for us. She went above and beyond in every possible way. At one point, I was literally about to walk down the aisle without my bouquet, and Amy stopped me, sprinted back to my room, and got it for me — talk about a lifesaver! I handed her all of my décor the day before, and she set everything up more beautifully than I could have imagined. It felt like she pulled the vision right out of my head. The food was incredible — our guests are still talking about it. Between the amazing service, the historic charm of the venue, and Amy’s unmatched dedication, our day was everything we dreamed of and more. If you’re considering Spencer Country Inn for your wedding — DO IT. And make sure Amy is by your side!

Such a beautiful venue! I just had my bridal shower at this venue, and everything was perfect. Not only was the venue itself beautiful, but they also decorated part of the room and let us use certain decor items as part of the centerpieces. The staff were really kind and accommodating before and during the shower. They accommodated my meal preferences and were very attentive to my guests needs. They let us come an hour early to setup and did not rush us when we were cleaning up afterwards. And shockingly, this venue is affordable for most budgets. I honestly can not recommend this venue enough for any party needs. My family will definitely be utilizing this space for future events.

Getting married at Spencer Country Inn was perfect!! I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get married in central MA at a beautiful rustic venue! The prices were so good! Many of our guests mentioned how good the food was and Amy the wedding coordinator is amazing!! Throughout the planning Amy was very helpful, she mentioned if anything didn't go as planned she was there to help! Throughout the night my bustle kept breaking and she was there to fix it! My bridesmaids got to get ready at the venue getting our hair and makeup done. Then we had a beautiful outdoor ceremony. The venue outside in May was so beautiful with all the flowers blooming! And the big function hall is beautiful! It fit all my guests perfectly and all my guests had so much fun dancing all night! After the wedding was over my wedding party stayed the night, and we booked all the rooms. In the morning we all got to have brunch together. It was such a great time and the venue was beautiful and the staff were amazing!!!

Family had Thanksgiving dinner there and everything was fantastic. One woman, not sure if owner, manager or hostess was absolutely wonderful. Offered to take pictures for us and just very nice. Food was great with great assortment and staff were right on top of everything.
